Before you decide what to do with another week of your life, look at the week you have just lived.
Your calendar records part of it. Your body, your state of mind and the people who live with you can tell you more.
On Thursday, in How to Become Wildly Successful (and Love Your Life), I wrote about building a life whose parts strengthen one another. Today, we begin by looking at those connections in your own days.
Awareness is the beginning of everything. What you notice gives you something to work with. What you do with that awareness is where change begins.
Start here:
Recall one moment from the past week when you were glad to be living your life. What made it possible? Have you made room for it again?
Perhaps it was a conversation with your wife, work that absorbed you, a walk, a meal with friends, or a quiet moment before God. Write it down. There may already be something worth protecting in the life you are trying to improve.
Set aside twenty minutes for the exercise below. You will leave with a page of observations, a connection worth exploring and one commitment for the coming week. Become a paid subscriber to complete it with me.
